It was the worst place I have ever been to. We got our first drink order and then placed our food order. No one came by for almost another hour. Two tables sat waited and got up and left. After 55 minutes I asked our waitress where our food was at. She left came back about 10 minutes later telling me they got our stacking order wrong. Never working in food service I had to ask what that meant. They had some food done, assuring me the order would be right up. Just as I suspected our food was ice cold as it had been sitiing. Three of the four items arrived were wrong ond one item never did show up. She asked if they could remake our food and we declined, it took another 15 minutes to get the check for the items we had. While waiting for hte check the cook who looks like he cooks meth when not there came out to ask if he was remaking our order or what? Don't watse the precious time you have in this lovely resort town on this joint. We went to Champs explained what happened and had food in front of us and the kids in 10 minutes. Carvettis, horrible service, bad food, major attitude when you ask for what you ordered.

No hours listed on door or on website. We attempted to go for a birthday only to find the door locked.

A damn shame. Awesome outside/scumbags on the inside. Go hear for lunch during the day. Night crowd is a bunch of dirtbags-and terrible WAY loud music by crappy local DJ's, a total waste of an awesome outdoor area.

Although i have never been there myself, i have heard it is Excellent! Not just the food (amazing!) but also the local feel, including local bands, singers, and deco! Although i hear it is amazing...i have also heard bad reviews from it...such as coming out to slow and a little rude. But if you have time to blow and need the taste of LG, go on over to Carvetti's... and see for yourself how you like it!

Horrible. Microwaved food. Poor service. Don't come here unless you like horrible food. My fries tasted like french toast. The pasta looked microwaved. They need to be on Restaurant Impossible. Horrid.

Tried to get a drink in the middle of the afternoon when the place was empty. Beautiful patio but terrible service. We watched 4 bartenders and wait staff talking at the bar and not come to ask what we'd like. After 10 min we left when no one came over for our order

I went here two weeks ago on a Thursday. I had a great time. They have the cutest little outdoor patio area and they play good music. I also liked that they had drink specials :) I had the appetizer that was pretty much a taste of everything...cheese curds, calamari, chicken strips. I liked it because it went really well with my beer. It was no five star restaurant, but it was a great place for 20 somethings to hang out. I had a drink called the big kahuna...yum yum...and steak which was yummy as well. The only thing that was a disappointment were the green beans...I am no fool...I know that they were canned. I don't like vegetables anyways, so the steak that was accompanied with coconut shrimp were all that mattered to me and they were delicious. My guest's meal was good, the pasta was cooked just right...I know this because I stole a fork full when she wasn't looking. We had the sweetest little waitress. She admitted that she was brand new, but was still awesome and very helpful. She was attentive, which was surprising after reading the reviews on here. I would have given them five stars, but they didn't open the place on time. They open at 3 and here we were out front playing with the door, and it was locked at 3:15. I called their number from my cell and they confirmed that they open at three...so I told them that I was out front and the door was locked. Soon after they opened up, thank goodness because I was hungry.

So I went back this weekend for another bachelorette party and had such a blast. We were immediately given a free bottle of Champagne and a round of shots. Um, ok. No glasses though, but we managed quite well swigging from the bottle like classy broads. We spent a long time around the fire, then headed inside to dance. It was really fun that they brought out flashing foam light sticks. Definitely brought more party to the party. Mind the stairs outside- someone in our group (of course it wasn't me!!) fell. Ok. It may have been me.

The outside patio was beautiful - but the waitress was horrible, the food was horrible and the wait was out of control. Even the kids food was bad... Unfortunate because it is such a cool outdoor area....

Stopped in yesterday afternoon for drinks to enjoy their beautiful patio. Ordered tap beers and bloody marys. The tap beers were flat, and things were floating in the bottom of our glasses. We ordered a shocktop lemon shandy that should of already been switched out for the season, must not be selling fast enough for them. Just wondering when was the last time they cleaned the lines in there taps. This place was empty when the rest of Lake Geneva was jammed packed.

This place is PERFECT for a Bachelorette party or a night out with dancing and drinks! Drinks are on the light side, but I didn't mind as we had plenty before arrival. Fun crowd, loud music, great times! They even handed out free light up Styrofoam batons! It was awesome (for the purpose we needed)! Didn't receive any bottle of champagne though, so can't confirm if that's actually a thing here.

Ordered the Big Boy Salad. Old lettuce and not served with any dressing. The staff is 20 and under and clearly don't understand how to make a nice "dining experience". Management needs to show they care about their business and be better hosts to their customers. PS: I suspect they do most of their business catering to the service industry in the area. They clear out the tables at 10pm and turn it into a club with weak over priced drinks and techno music.

Went here last night for an after dinner drink and to check out the back patio. The property is great. Unfortunately that was all that was good. We came in and made our way to the patio and sat down at the table.....after I used the restroom my wife then did the same. Then we waited some more.....so I just ran to the bar to get a drink. You guessed it......waited there too. Zero patrons at the back bar and I was invisible. So.....terrible service - maybe beyond terrible. Go anywhere else.

Cool outside with lots of room and nice volleyball courts, but.... Just don't do the $50 all-you-can-drink plus 1 entree deal that most bachelor/bachelorette parties usually find interesting. They don't tell you, but tax and tips get included to make this "deal" about $61 total. Entrees are about $10, so you're paying $50 to drink for 3 hours. Unless you're slamming red bull vodkas or some other expensive drink, it's way too expensive. We had 13 people and it came out to over $800. We would have been better off just building a tab the whole time we were there.

This place was awful. When we went in, apparently there was only one cook working. I can understand the time it took to make the food- stuff happens. No big deal. What was a big deal, however, was the fact that the waitress made NO effort whatsoever to make up for that. Our water carafes were empty half the time, and the bread basket she promised us never arrived at the table. Several members of our party ordered side salads, which also never showed up (but they sure as hell were on the bill!). Then, when our food finally arrived, half of the orders were wrong! From my dining experience, most servers will double check the food before it's served to the guests. She did not. Also, Carvetti's apparently doesn't put dressing on their salads either- we had to ask for it. I found it funny that the ONE thing they brought to the table without us asking was catsup, mustard, and more napkins. We already had several bottles of each. LOL.

Great venue for a bachelorette party (most patrons were within a party!). The food is average bar food. The atmosphere later in the night is fabulous for dancing. Our server was the diamond in the rough - he provided several shots for free for our bachelorette. Now that is stellar service!

This place really wasn't that great. We had the appetizer sampler which was greasy and okay. We sat outside and flies and bugs kept ending up in our soda. I had the blue moon burger and it was overcooked. It hurt my stomach the next day. The customer service just wasn't that good.

Had a restaurant.com certificate which they would not honor even though it clearly stated on the certificate it does not expire. Don't waste your time.

I agree Saturday nights are bachelorette party central. I was apart of one of them and there were three more and a birthday party that came after us. First off, we called to make a reservation and asked for a call back but never got one so we showed up with our party anyway. After some miscommunication, they found us and we were seated promptly. Granted I know the place was slammed with parties but we did run into a problem with getting our food. It was actually the bride to be's dinner that never came until we all were done eating and waiting around. Our server comped the meal, some drinks etc. but still...He was trying to be funny about it but hey, whatever. I also found it interesting the brought the alcoholic drinks to the people that ordered them first and kept forgetting the non alcoholic drinks for those who didn't want to drink. The food, when it came, was very good. I can't complain about that. I just think that I'll try this place on a week night instead of the party night where we get attention from the server and they aren't preoccupied.

Tried it twice and never again. Paid $17 for a martini and 12oz beer in a plastic cup. Martini was half filled. Manager would do nothing; she poured the drink!, "that's how we do it." I should have rejected the drink in the first place. Won't be back. Dirty, lousy service, and poor management. It is too bad since they have a nice outdoor area going.

Yikes! Who knew that on Saturday nights, this place becomes bachelorette party central!? A large group of us came in last night.. for a bachelorette party. Our waiter informed us that there were six such parties there for the night. Our food was pretty good, and portions were plentiful. JP, our waiter, took care of us, and we appreciated the complimentary shots. The outdoor area looked nice, but because it was 60 degrees out, we opted to stay inside. When we first arrived, the music was at a tolerable level, but around nine, they turned it up so that we could not hear the person sitting next to us. And for some odd reason, they kept playing the same five songs over and over again. I would come back here again for a group outing, but if I was just after a meal, I would go somewhere where the music is less obnoxious and the food was less greasy.

Average food, below average service and overpriced food and drinks. They didn't even honor their advertised specials. Too many other great choices in LG to waste your time here.

We went here a couple Saturdays ago for a bachelorette party. We got here around 8pm and the place was empty, which suprised me for a Saturday night in June. My BLT wasn't good, but the other girls really liked their burgers and salads. The maragarita was good and the waitress was really nice and attentive. They gave us all a free shot, which wasn't good, but still it was free, so it was nice! The outdoor patio is really nice. There were couches we could sit on, which was great! The nats were a little annoying, but it is Wisconsin after all. We only stayed for an hour because we had other bars we wanted to hit, but overall I liked it and would go back.

We went there with a group of 25 last Sunday. We made reservations weeks in advance and they were not ready for us. They did jockey tables around and even move the pool table to fit us in. The service was just OK. But the real issue is the kitchen. It took forever to get our meals over 1 hour. It is interesting to note that this place was not crowded. (This should have given us a clue) The last person that got their meal was someone that ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. A grilled cheese sandwich.... really??!!! The food was good but unless they really make some changes in the kitchen I would pass this place up. There are many other places to go in town.

They serve frozen pizzas, and charge $10+ for them. Salad and paninni mediocre also. They would be better off scaling their menu to a few really good items that the small kitchen can handle.

don't expect fine dining here. However, if you expect decent bar food, with barely adequate service, you'll be happy. I had a greasy burger and they gave me like 7 fries. My observations of the local species getting out of control appear to be congruent with other yelp reviews.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
